Bishop Renelus Maxime

Head Pastor

Bishop R. Maxime began training for biblical instruction at the church of God in Petionville, Haiti. He moved to New York City and completed collegiate education at CUNY, York College, and Long Island University. He attended the Highlands Bible School for 4 years of Seminary Instruction in Washington, D.C. where he was ordained as a bishop. He is a second-generation preacher and the General Director of the Chances for Children, a nonprofit organization. He daily thanks God for His great grace and mercy.

Overseer

Our Overseer has been a dedicated servant of God for over 50 years, serving in various sects of ministry. She oversees the women’s and children’s ministries and has a heart for uplifting the elderly. She thanks God for what He’s done in her life and for every grace He’s given her. She has dedicated her life to praising God through everything that comes.

Ark of the Highlands

Located in the heart of Long Island, we are a church for the people. We are serving the community through the love of Jesus Christ, supporting all of our brothers and sisters holistically for the glory of God.

Worship

We worship nondenominationally and hold services in English, French, Haitian Creole and in Spanish. We have a thriving children’s/youth ministry, women’s ministry and men’s ministry. We also hold Bible study meetings and evening prayer services biweekly. We welcome everyone from all backgrounds through our doors.

Community Center

Our community center offers ESL courses, The arts, childcare, a feeding program, and so much more as we prepare future leaders and train community advocates. We work in partnership with many of the surrounding churches and government leaders as we seek to meet as many needs of the people as possible. We welcome you to the sanctuary and pray God’s blessings over every one of you.
